Our “ITAM Insights Workspace” is for customers that want to retrieve relevant SAM insights from ServiceNow but are not (yet) ready to implement the SAM Pro module.
Discovery Status
The top part of the discovery status section of the dashboard provides insight in the health of the discovery by providing numbers of discovered hardware devices and discovered users. More detailed insights can be retrieved below the top figures. The user can find last scan dates of the hardware, insights in the distribution of users over the organizational units, and devices assigned to inactive users can be identified.
Software contract and license information:
This section of the dashboard provides insight in contract/license end dates, software expenses divided over organizational units, and the software that is available to order for end-users. It can function as a renewal calendar for expiring contracts to ensure timely renewals. Additionally, it provides financial transparency regarding software purchases, and software requests within the organization. This provides means for back charging.
